What is Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic technique that targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. Unlike a traditional massage, which focuses on relaxation, deep tissue massage aims to relieve chronic tension and improve the range of motion. By applying firm pressure and slow strokes, this method can address specific issues such as muscle strain, sports injuries, and postural problems. It's particularly beneficial for those experiencing persistent aches and pains, as it helps break down scar tissue and adhesions in the muscles. While the pressure applied during a deep tissue massage may cause some discomfort, many find the results to be significantly rewarding, promoting a sense of lasting relief and improved physical function.
